You must cut the output shaft shorter or use a 4L80E output shaft to work with this tail housing. Using this tail makes the transmission the same length as a Powerglide. Therfore you can remove your Glide and install a TH400 using the same driveshaft. You only have to change the yoke and make a new crossmember for the mount.
